Early Morning Walk (cont'd)

There is a wild garden not too far from us with the most amazing coloured thorns. I call them the Purple Haze; they have a slightly silver cast to them and when seen en mass, it makes for an impressionist's subject.

The yellow rose,
 just a little further along,
is a wonderful contrast
to the purple haze thorn.
It would be
a lovely challenge
for any artist
because of it's
subtle shift in tonal values.
